Keep care going after the visit
Know how to reach help after the visit
Keep this in mind
Before closing the visit, write down who to reach, how to reach them and what happens next. Make the handover clear while you are still talking.
Make the next contact concrete
- Who reads questions between visits?
- How do replies work, and what is the expected wait?
- Where do I turn when the service is unavailable?
- How will test results reach me?
- What is the plan for the next review?
Ask for the answers in a form you can find again. Save the care plan beside your question notes.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) flags a gap after delivery: no licensed doctor to answer a person’s questions. FDA follow-up warning sign
Keep this in mind
A refill can be a useful point to ask what is working, what is difficult and what still needs checking.
Ask what the review will cover
Wegovy medicine information checked September 26, 2026.
Wegovy’s label, its official medicine information, calls for regular pulse checks and for checking blood sugar in patients who have diabetes. Wegovy information on checks
It also calls for checks of how well the kidneys work when side effects could cause a loss of body fluid.
Ask which checks apply to the proposed plan and how they will be arranged.
Revisit the tests and results questions →Keep this in mind
A changing health situation belongs in the conversation, not just in next month’s form.
Pregnancy and procedures need their own discussion
For a planned pregnancy, the Wegovy label tells the person prescribing to stop the medicine at least two months before the pregnancy is planned to begin. Pregnancy warning
Tell the team you take Wegovy before any planned operation or medical procedure. General anesthesia means medicine puts you fully to sleep. Deep sedation means medicine makes you very deeply sleepy. The label warns that food left in the stomach may enter the lungs during procedures using either of these. This can concern a test as well as an operation. Ask the team what level of sleepiness is planned. Warning about operations and procedures
The available evidence does not settle whether stopping beforehand reduces that risk; the procedure team needs to decide the plan.
If care or payment needs to change
- How can I move my records to someone else for care?
- Who handles questions during a change in care?
- When does membership billing end?
- What care plan do we agree on if I cannot continue paying?
